# Quick Start

Rotating residential proxies route requests through residential IPs in different regions. They support IP rotation and sticky sessions for public data collection, viewing content across regions, and ongoing monitoring.

### Product Features

* **Global Coverage:** Access 90M+ residential IPs across 195+ countries and regions.
* **Geo-Targeting:** Configure access by country, city, or ASN.
* **Flexible Sessions:** Rotate IPs or maintain the same IP with sticky sessions for up to 120 minutes.

### Use Cases

* **E-commerce Data Collection:** Collect publicly available product, pricing, and inventory information.
* **SEO Monitoring:** View search results across regions and track keyword ranking changes.
* **Ad Verification:** Check ad displays and landing page content in target regions.
* **AI Data Collection:** Collect public web content for dataset creation and knowledge base updates.

### Choose an Authentication Method

Rotating residential proxies support **username/password authentication** and **IP whitelist authentication**. Choose the method that suits your environment:

* **Username/Password Authentication:** Connect using your proxy username and password. Suitable for browsers, proxy tools, and scripts.
* **IP Whitelist Authentication:** Add the public outbound IP of the device making requests. Suitable for servers or applications with a fixed outbound IP.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://doc.sk5data.com/dynamic-residential/quick-start.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
